An Art Deco Style End Table With a Brass Base
About the Item
This very sleek and sophisticated end table is crafted from ziricote wood veneers and a solid brass base. Ziricote is an extremely dense medium-brown hardwood with a unique interlocking grain that can be polished to a high sheen. The table is a modern recreation of an Art Deco (or more precisely, Art Moderne) original design. The angled legs have a sail-shaped outward curve, which greatly softens the profile of the piece. The round brass base, raised on brass feet, is quite solid and matches the ball-shaped fittings that connect the legs to the square top. The piece has universal appeal and blends easily in vintage or modern decor. The highly decorative wood veneer has been sealed with multiple coats of nitrocellulose-based lacquer and polished to high brilliance. Being made from a dense hardwood, the surface will provide years of enjoyment despite its glossy and dressy appearance. It's ideal for the living room or a more intimate space like a library or study.
