Artful Design Solace 3: Solid Walnut Auxiliary Table with Unique Wood Grain

About the Item

Sculptural side table made of solid walnut wood, nightstand, auxiliary table solace S3 by Joel Escalona The Solace side table series, designed by Joel Escalona, is a furniture collection that exudes balance and presence, thanks to its sensuous, dense, and irregular shapes. These small tables double as works of art, bold and sculptural, with function taking a backseat to expression. Inspired by the iconic Pigeon sculpture by Isamu Noguchi, the Solace side table series is a stunning tribute to the fusion of traditional and modern design elements that made Noguchi's work so unique. Drawing on the curves and lines that characterize his style, these side tables feature outlines that pay homage to the renowned American artist. Crafted from stunning walnut wood, the Solace side table series celebrates the rich, earthy hues and unique grain of this beautiful material. Each piece is produced one at a time in our workshop in Mexico by NONO Furniture, making it truly one-of-a-kind. Due to the nature of the production process, every piece may vary in grain, texture, and shape, adding to its unique character. These versatile side tables can also function as nightstands and are crafted with care and attention to detail by our skilled artisans. The individual variations in grain, texture, and shape ensure that each piece is a functional sculpture. Production takes 7-9 weeks to ensure the highest level of precision and quality. — NONO is a Mexican design brand with more than 10 years of experience dedicated to the production of interior furnishings, editions, and custom-made projects. At NONO, we create pieces of extraordinary beauty, accommodating the particular needs and tastes of each client with exclusive high-quality designs. — * All of our products can be modified to fit any kind of project *

  • Vintage Drexel Heritage Hispana Brutalist Walnut Nightstand Chest Side Table
    By Drexel
    Located in Dayton, OH
"Vintage Hispana Drexel Heritage low chest, nightstand or side table, circa 1960s. Made of walnut featuring two drawers with paneled fronts, brass knocker pulls, and turned bun feet. Item number 493-312-6. Drexel Furniture Company was established 1903 in Drexel, North Carolina. Although Samuel Huffman managed the enterprise, he and five other men founded the business with an investment of $14,000. By 1935, Sam Huffman died, and his son Robert O. Huffman became president. The younger Huffman made several changes in operations, including manufacturing medium-priced furniture instead of low-priced and spending more on advertising. By 1950, Drexel had grown from a small factory of fifty workers who made dressers and washstands to being a leading manufacturer in traditional and modern furniture. In the process, the company had partnered with other manufacturers to create new product lines. In 1951, for instance, Drexel acquired Table Rock Furniture and Heritage Furniture Company, and in 1956, Morganton Furniture Company. By 1957, Drexel employed 2,300 workers, and its furniture was sold nationwide in approximately 2,500 stores. By the late 1960s, the company manufactured laboratory, dormitory and hospital...
