About the Item

An Italian Neoclassical style end table, with drawer and lower secondary shelf, from the 19th century. This antique table from Italy, circa 1820's, has a rectangular-shaped top, over apron which houses a single drawer (fitted with elegant hardware!), and clean/linear lines about the skirt, allowing for the beautiful wood grain to speak for the elegance of this piece. It is presented upon a pair of column style legs at front, with tapering squared legs at backside. The legs are braced just above the nicely bulb carved feet with a lower tier shelf (having gently concaved front and sides and a flattened backside). There are traces of old black paint about the column front side posts, which is mostly worn off at this time creating a lovely patina. This 19th century Italian Neoclassic side table has an usual height of 35.75", which could make this piece a problem solver for where a taller piece is needed, it could also be a great little entry table with place to store keys!
