- Roger Capron - End Table, Garrigue + Brown Ceramic Tiles, Dovetail Metal FrameBy Roger CapronLocated in Stratford, CT*** Important detail: custom height available (1)*** Square end table with the famous Roger Capron Garrigue tiles, designed from 1968 to 1982. Mr. Capron was often balancing his designs by incorporating either brown or white enameled terra cotta tiles. The handcrafted Garrigue tiles are produced by a technique in which real leaves were pressed into the clay and, during firing, disintegrated, leaving a finely detailed imprint. The leaves come from "La Garrigue", a variety of vegetation indigenous to southeastern France only, where Roger Capron lived and worked for 60 years. These Garrigue tiles inspired a large series of side to dining tables, including wall covering. Many kitchen in the French Riviera have their walls covered with Garrigue tiles. This table is mounted on a really sturdy dovetail metal frame. It is in near perfect condition, patina due to age on metal frame. (1) Mr Capron was extremely influenced by the Japanese life style; coffee table are usually low. We can change the legs to match your desired height. Please keep in mind that we provide this service only for the tables that have a dovetail frame and for which the frames have a similar look with the replacement legs...Category

- Ambient cylinder shaped onyx table lampLocated in Stratford, CTAlthough there are a few other places in the world where the semi-precious stone Onyx exist, we found our collection in Mexico. A Bit Of Information On The Semi-Precious Stone Onyx. While it is often thought of as the black gemstone capable of transforming negative energy in positive energy, onyx is in fact a multicolor stone resulting from the metamorphism of limestone rich in Magnesium and Calcium, a process that takes thousands of years. During these years, climate change, natural disasters and wildlife have contributed to the various colors of each layer of sediments. In its primary stage, the rock does not reveal its beauty. However, once it is cut, carved, shaped and polished, the outcome is breathtaking. There is simply no designer like Mother Earth herself. We have been very grateful to visit two workshops where the stones are sliced, cut, carved, or otherwise shaped into their final forms. Watching these artisans covered in thick layers of dust, handling these blocks of stone was truly fascinating. A Word About the Onyx Lamps An onyx lamp is intrinsically beautiful. But when the light comes on, words cannot describe the magic. Pictures cannot capture its beauty. Our business is known primarily for selling the entire collection of Serge Mouille lighting in the USA. In our journey to find another exciting lighting product, we could not have found lamps that are more contrasting to the Mouille lamps. The onyx lamp is translucent and colorful, heavy, centered and stable, the perfect ambient lamp. The Mouille lamp on the other hand is elongated, thin, elegant, either black or white, weighs less than a feather and diffuses a bright functional light. Yet, they are both organic, eye-catching, gorgeous, and timeless. In fact, they complement each other very well. This is an all Onyx cylinder shaped...Category
