About the Item
A Larger version of our architectural American black walnut pillar nightstands / end tables. Designed and genuinely handcrafted in England using traditional woodwork techniques with the very finest black walnut. Hand-cut large dovetail jointing with turned walnut upright pillar piercing through the sections. These are intended as multi functioning pieces of furniture. These are very substantial, bold and striking pieces of completely handmade furniture, built to last.
Finished in durable eco oils.
Custom dimensions are available on request. Alternative English quartersawn oak versions can be seen in final images and are in our listings/storefront.
We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
