View AllRaymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Nightstand by Broyhill Premier
By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This nightstand is a bold expression of 1970s Space-Age design, balancing futuristic materials with strong visual energy. It measures approximately 27 inches (69 cm) wide, 16 inches (41 cm) deep, and 21.5 inches (55 cm) high — proportions that offer enough presence to anchor a bedside while remaining compact and versatile.
The body and base have been fully refinished: wood structure sanded, primed, and painted in a bright white lacquer that revives the crisp contrast so loved in the Chapter One line. The two drawer fronts are original molded plastic in dark lime green, their injection-formed curves and original texture preserved. The laminate top has been buffed to a high gloss, reflecting ambient light and amplifying the piece’s sculptural surfaces.
Wear is minimal and respectful: the green plastic doors show some minor imperfections consistent with age, visible only under close inspection; the laminate top bears very light surface scuffing — again, only where someone might lean or set objects. Overall condition is very good, showing both testament to its vintage roots and clarity of restoration.
This is more than a small bedside piece — it’s a design icon in microcosm. Its plastic mold fronts and chromed or gloss accents evoke the work of designers like Raymond Loewy, whose influence underpins much of Broyhill’s Chapter One line. The curves, gloss, and contrast make it ideal to pair with stark modern furnishings, mirrored or chrome accessories, or rooms that lean toward graphic color.
Collectors drawn to landmark production furniture, futuristic plastic mold work, or anything in the rarified orbit of Space Age vintage will recognize this piece’s rarity: a well-restored original drawer front, clean structural form, and color contrast that still feels playful and confident.
Well it’s 2025, and Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy orginals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Maybe it’s the proportions and practicality. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. The restoration team pulled no punches on this nightstand, and the end result exceeded our expectations. Every inch of the wood body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. It’s tough to see these go, but we know it will be loved. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Nightstand...

Italian Modern Mirrored Stereo Headboard Suede King Bed & Nightstands by Verardo
By Verardo
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This is not merely a bed—it’s a cinematic icon of 1970s Italian modernism. Crafted by Verardo, this king-size set marries sculptural form with futuristic flair: its voluptuous headboard and coordinated nightstands are covered in sensuous red-orange suede and framed by chrome accents, with mirrored panels in warm gold tones that catch every flicker of light. The headboard conceals a built-in stereo system, 8-track player, telephone, ashtray, and lighting controls—transforming the bedroom into an immersive, multisensory environment.
Originally designed to command attention, the bed radiates with presence. Its plush suede upholstery wraps around sinuous curves that sculpt the sides like luxury automotive design of the era. Chrome pulls echo the glittering mirrored surfaces, while the gold-toned mirrored plinth base anchors the design in glamour. A built-in light panel casts a glow on integrated Lucite pedestals and “eyeball” lights recessed in the arch—modern features updated with LED for brighter, safer ambiance.
Despite its multimedia flair, this set wears its functionality with panache: the stereo and lighting still operate, while wear remains minimal and authentic—retaining its vintage desirability.
Verardo’s design fuses Space Age awe with glamour, making this hefty king-size wall of expression feel as though it belongs in a 70s sci-fi prom—or the lounge of a visionary futurist. Paired with mirrored nightstands, it is a rare, bold statement piece—delivering artistry, nostalgia, and flamboyant design legacy all in one immersive suite.
Your eyes don't deceive you, that is in fact red-orange suede, chrome and gold tinted mirrored bed with stereo, 8-track, phone and ashtray. Although the phone and 8-track are not in working order, the radio-tuner stereo performs beautifully. Elements of MCM, space-age and post-modern design coalesce. If that's not enough mind bending 70's magic for you, it also lights up. That's right, you can actually set the cinematic mood with with assorted types of light. We upgraded the vintage bulbs with LED, so the light is brighter, safer and more efficient. A panel of buttons allow you full control. Push one to illuminate the Lucite pedestals from inside. Click another to control the eyeball lights that are recessed inside the arch. The lights can be singular or combined. This ultra modern and super rare bed was Made by Verardo in Italy, circa 1970's. Covered head to toe in suede, this sultry and sinuous bed features bedside tables with chrome pulls and a gold / brass metal plinth base that elevates the design to even greater adventurous heights. The two suede nightstands...

Kaizo Oto Gold Black And Steel Art Deco Inspired Round Glass Top Coffee Table
By Kaizo Oto, Paul Evans
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Commanding and luminous, this vintage Kaizo Oto coffee table is a masterclass in sculptural modernism. The design fuses Art Deco refinement with Bauhaus geometry and De Stijl balance—resulting in a bold, timeless visual statement worthy of center stage in any contemporary interior.
At its crown is a luxuriously thick round glass surface (½-inch clear bevel), 43¾ inches in diameter, perched above a dynamic sculptural base. The structure below stands 13.5 inches high and spans 41¼ inches in diameter—an architectural contrast of sleek horizontal planes and vertical restraint.
Crafted from steel, brass-toned, and black-finished metal, each bracket, support, and form is individually scaled for visual harmony and stability. The asymmetric geometry builds tension—unexpected angles meet polished surfaces, creating an elegant tension that evokes both Mondrian’s rigor and Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic structure. Elegant in its complexity, the table invites admiration from every vantage point.
Produced in the 1980s for the Design Institute of America under the Kaizo Oto name, this piece exhibits original finish and character. Patina and minor surface wear (particularly on the steel base) add depth and authenticity without diminishing its striking visual presence. The glass is intact, with no chips or cracks.
Comparable Kaizo Oto coffee tables—beloved for their inventive form and collectible quality—typically appear between approximately $3,000 and $5,400, depending on finish and rarity. This particular gold-black-steel iteration offers exceptional dramatic flair while remaining functionally elegant.
The sheer presence of this table transforms a room: the reflective glass emphasizes the structural dance of metal below, drawing the eye into its interplay of mass and shadow. It is an objet d'art as much as a tabletop—perfect for gallery-inspired spaces, minimalist lounges, or offices that prize architectural poise.
