This beautiful Southampton Dropside Table will be recognizable to anyone familiar with fine antique furniture. Originally designed by Henry Herbert, 9th Earl of Pembroke, this form of table was made popular by various furniture designers in 18th century England. Also often referred to as a dropside table and sometimes called a breakfast table our vintage Southampton Dropside Table is beautifully appointed with many great features such as the wooden pullout supports for the table leaves, the solid brass high quality drawer pull, the robust cross stretcher support for the table legs and the shaped and footed table legs themselves. The Southampton Dropside Table is versatile due to its’ ability to expand in size as needed and can be used throughout the home. Please check the measurements carefully before purchasing this table as it is far more substantial in size than most similar items!
As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall the piece is in excellent original condition.
