About the Item
Hand made wooden end table made from the finest quality quarter sawn English Oak. This handcrafted end table table offers plenty of discreet storage and a great dash of unique character.
Hand made by the award winning Gareth 'Goldfinch' Brookes in his Manchester studio, his signature style shines through in the skillfully faceted drawer and cupboard front design.
The high quality English Oak has been through the traditional proccess of fuming, which gives it these warm dark brown tones deep into the wood. Unlike staining the finish will last the lifetime of the piece.
The single drawer on the top is traditionally built and fitted on wooden runners in natural Oak which grants a fabulous contrast. The finger pull detail is also reflected on the cupboard door below, which closes on a very subtle magnet mechanism.
The traditional brass hinges are hand chiselled and fitted into place, making this piece a truly fantastic piece of modern design with traditional craftsmanship.
This piece is finished in a hard wax oil which grants it a natural feel but with sturdy protection.
As wood is a natural material, please expect slight variations in the tones and grain patterns of the timber. This is something to be celebrated and makes each piece unique to the client.

This wonderfully unique mid century style side table is made of quarter sawn English Oak and will work well in the bedrooms, living rooms and elsewhere.
It's unique design is inspired by the artist Hundertwasser, who believed everybody deserved to be surrounded by beautiful things.
With the hole cut out at the back, these pieces are often used as bedside tables, with electricals being easily stored and charged in the drawer whilst avoiding distractions in the night. The choice of the patterns on either side or both sides makes this piece sutiable for multiple locations.
Made from the highest quality quarter sawn English Oak this piece is solidly built, and will last many generations. The drawer is made from a combination of English Oak and high grade ply, with a drawer height of 9cm.
It is finished in a hard wax oil that makes the piece easy to care for.
