Country French Provincial Style Chestnut Farmhouse Trestle Table
About the Item
Handsome country French provincial farmhouse trestle table crafted from chestnut. The table is nearly 10 feet long with 1.5 inch thick planks on top having breadboard ends. The large case is crafted with wood peg joinery and is fronted by two large sliding storage doors centered by a small single drawer. The trestle base has thick, square chamfered legs conjoined by a long stretcher. The table has solid joinery with repairs to the leg bottoms. Made on a large scale with a dark rich finish the table could also serve as a display or console table. The table measures 21.5 inches from the floor to the apron and has a desirable aged patina on the finish.

- Condition:Repaired: old repairs. Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery. Age appropriate wear with age cracks in finish as expected. Minor wear throughout with old repairs to bottoms of legs as seen in photos. Leg clearance is 21.5 inches. Minor sag in the middle of 1/2 inch.
