18th Century Period Italian Parquetry and Burl Game Table

About the Item

An exquisite 18th century period game table. This stunning game table folds open to reveal dual shell carvings on four sides of the top. Subtle inlaid parquetried and burled pattern trim in the center of the top among a beautifully symmetrical pattern. Octagonal areas on all four corners. Cabriole legs with small lions paw feet. Made in Italy. In very good condition. Some gentle wear consistent with age and use. The original patina and natural pattern of the burl show off beautifully on this exquisite piece. No obvious markings on the piece. This table would make a great feature in any home. Perfect for entertaining during cocktail hour or a card game with friends.
