20th C. French Provincial Louis XV Style Triangular Folding Games Table

About the Item

20th c., French Provincial Louis XV style triangular corner games table with a hinged top opening to a green baize gaming surface. The table folds out to a square on four curved corner legs. When folder. the middle rear leg becomes a concealed drawer. The table top folds on polished brass hinges. Arguably the table can be placed closed either facing into a corner or near flush against a wall. If the former, the drawer becomes easily accessible. This is a great table for those with limited space and could be used as a tea table in addition to as a card/games table. The triangular shape of the table when closed is unusual for a games table Dimensions: 29"h x 48"w x 25"d (closed), 28"h x 50"squ (open) Condition: Good, possibly intentionally antiqued, showing scattered nicks, scratches and insect holes. Shows well. Ready to place.
