Rare William IV Hardwood Occasional Table with Brown Leather Chess Games Top

About the Item

We are delighted to offer this restored exquisite hand made in England William IV circa 1830 mahogany occasional table with brown leather chessboard top. A very rare example, I have never seen this table in Mahogany before and never with the leather Chessboard top which costs an absolute fortune to have made. The table has mother of pearl embossed handles, hand carved lion hairy paw feet and is of the finest quality The chess board is made from cattle hide leather, its hand embossed with wonderful banding, then each square is individually hand dyed, I had one of these made from my tric track table and it cost nearly £1500 It has been restored by my French polisher, the leather has been hand dyed, the mahogany washed back and French polished, this is in wonderful period condition throughout Dimensions Height:- 77cm Width:- 70.5cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
