About the Item
A fine French 19th-20th century Louis XV style gilt bronze-mounted mahogany and tulipwood marquetry gueridon side-table. The circular top inlaid with a floral design marquetry and symmetrical parquetry. The apron centered with ormolu mounts of female masks surmounted by floral cornucopias, the four legs with ormolu mounts of flowers and leaves, with hoofed feet and centered with an ormolu weaved basket. Attributed to François Linke (1855-1946). Unsigned, Paris, circa 1900.
