Substantial, antique, solid oak work bench executed in the traditional form of a shoe foot trestle table with its wide lower shelf doubling as a strengthening element tenoned in to both side supports. Neither a commercial or serial production piece, it exhibits traits of practical, indigenous construction most probably built by its end user for their own use replete with cut-outs in the lower shelf to further an unknown use.
