About the Item
ABOUT
A large, antique solid Maple carpenter's workbench with inlay tray used to house larger tools and dovetail joints. The bench features two wooden and castiron screw vises that work properly and extend out. There are 17 "dogs" spaced along the width of the front. Pegs were placed in the dogs to hold a piece into place while working on it. The piece is structurally sound and has retained the naturally distressed look of an industrial piece of this kind.
Great as a bar or console.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Maple, Wooden Base.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Sturdy. The front vice was replaced years ago with a vintage 1940s wood vice. This vice pulls out and winds in.
