About the Item

This large pastry table (or butcher table), would add the ideal amount of surface space to any kitchen. Crafted in France, the table stands on four scrolled legs over an intricate stretcher and decorative bronze rosettes and finials. The table features a scalloped apron embellished with shell and foliage motifs on all four sides. The surface is dressed with a rectangular white marble top embellished with a groove around the perimeter. (This feature is not only a decorative element, but was once used to catch blood as the butcher carved meat on this type of table). The "Table de Boucher" is in excellent condition and adorns a rich antique polished black and silver steel finish with gilt mounts and finials. Use this elegant table as a island in the middle of your kitchen, or as a wall console in an entry way. Measures: 50.25" W x 30.75" D x 29.75" H.
