About the Item
A rare, likely one-of-a-kind vintage French butchershop / patisserie display counter.
Refined mid-century Parisian industrial design, having a square marble top, over conforming case featuring three sides adorned with polychrome glazed ceramic tiles with Neoclassical motif, rounded patinated brass mounted corners, over marble base. The back of the work island having a single mahogany drawer over open shelved interior for storing butcher tools and accessories.

Having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a kitchen island, buffet table or server, dry bar, coffee station, deli or cafe work bench, restaurant hostess stand, and much more.
Great original unrestored antique / vintage condition with nicely aged patina. Retaining lots of character and charm. Wear consistent with age and indicative of industrial use, including scattered nicks, chips, scratches, and staining. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Overall a stunning example that presents well and is sure to add timeless elegance and sophistication to any space!
