About the Item
19th century Antique French Louis XIII Cabinet Pedestal Table White Marble Carved Oak.
Direct from France, a stunning 19th century French octagon pedestal cabinet.
Elaborately carved on ALL sides, perfect to place in the centre of a room, with a thick WHITE MARBLE octagon top.
Wide frieze features dimensional Black Forest carved foliate scrolls on all sides with a carved drawer to the front. One of the main features is the full-length bands of larger, dimensional Black Forest carved fruits that adorn each corner.
All the sides have geometric, Louis XII carved trim, with center medallion to the front door and back panel. Front door opens to reveal generous interior storage. Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
A versatile antique, excellent for end table, perfect for displaying a bronze or other object d’art!
Measurements: 32” ht. x 18.5” x 15.5”.
White Marble, 15.25” x 12.25”.
