Pair of heavy wood ionic column side tables/pedestals. Entirely hand-carved from wood; super solid and sturdy.
We love the Postmodern feel of these columns. They have a playful feel in the vein of Michael Graves' pieces that reference a Classical form, re-interpreted in a new way. These ionic columns would normally be thought of as stone pieces or recreated in plaster, yet the rustic wood transforms them into something more casual and easily incorporated into a Modern, Eclectic interior.
Great at one end of a sofa, beside your favorite chair, in the entry hall or anywhere else you can imagine, this classical style pedestal table has a fun, old-world/Postmodern mixed aesthetic.
The elegantly carved columns features two detailed capital designs (front and back), a round, layered bottom and a smooth, square tabletop for display of your treasured possessions. The detailed carvings and beautifully finished design are a testament to the carver's craftsmanship. less
