About the Item
The Portal Pedestal by Paloma Editions is handcrafted in Italy and inspired by the hidden passages of ancient cities. A study in purity of volume and form, it stands effortlessly on its own—whether supporting a sculptural vase or serving as an elevated vide-poche for the entrance to your space.
The Portal Pedestal is hand carved from a single block of stone, with an internal weight reduction technique. The Travertine features a honed finish while the Onyx features a polished finish. All edges are smoothed over with a 2MM chamfer.

Production of this edition is continuing. New pieces are still being made, this includes custom-made pieces.
Care: Your piece is unique and designed to last a lifetime. All our materials are treated, however, a little care will ensure the longevity of your piece. We recommend to use a non-abrasive cloth with mild soapy water. Avoid bleach, vinegar or similar cleaning products.
Variations: All our pieces are handmade and made with natural materials. For this reason, each piece may be subject to variations in color, shade, texture, pores, vein direction and mineral intrusion. This should be considered an asset as it adds value to the final product, making it unique and exclusive.
