Rectangular in form, this elegant antique table de boucher (butcher or pastry table) brings timeless French charm to any interior. Crafted in France circa 1780, the table features a sculptural hand-forged iron base with intricate scrollwork and volutes connected by decorative stretchers. The frame retains its original patinated white and black painted finish, beautifully aged and embellished with bronze round finials and circular medallions for a touch of refinement. The work surface is dressed with a thick rectangular black marble top, likely a later addition complementing the original base. Supported on delicate tapered feet, the table balances graceful curves with sturdy construction. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, it showcases wonderful patina and character throughout.
