About the Item

Rectangular in shape, the antique "Table de Boucher" (butcher table or pastry table) would add the ideal amount of surface space to any kitchen. Crafted in France circa 1780, the pastry table features intricate volute metal work and beautiful scrolled legs, decorated with bronze round finials and circular medallions, and ending with tapered feet. The work surface is dressed with a thick black marble top which we believe is a later addition to the original base. The pastry table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original patinated white and black paint finish over the stone top; wonderful character throughout! Incorporate this butcher table in a kitchen as a center island, or use it against as a small wall console in an entry or hallway. A true one-of-a-kind! Measures: 39" W x 28" D x 34.5” H.
