About the Item
Early 20th century trolley fitted with hand painted French pottery dishes on a removable handled tray. The tray is fitted with 8 rectangular and 2 small round pottery dishes that nest into dark stained compartments. The tray lifts off to reveal a smooth dark stained surface. The trolley presents with straight legs and terminates with brass casters.
Dimensions:
Cart - 30" x 12 1/2" x 21 3/4" H
Tray - 14 1/2" x 27 1/2"
Pottery dish - 8" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2" H
Round dish - 3" W x1 1/4" H
Provenance: Purchased in 2002 from an antiques shop in London.
Condition: Various signs of age with expected minor wear, the pottery with very minor acceptable nicks and flakes to rim, expected slight age-related crazing with the presentation being outstanding and quite charming. Please see photos for details of condition.
