About the Item

Magnificent exhibition quality antique Victorian Italian profusely carved solid figured walnut serving/console table having a fantastic quality solid figured walnut top with a carved edge above two beautifully carved walnut drawers with carved animals, gladiators, swags, scrolls and animal heads. It boasts two drawers with drop fronts revealing two enclosed drawers standing on solid walnut barley twist legs raised on bun feet united by exhibition quality profusely carved solid walnut shaped stretchers. The carving to the stretchers depict animals, scrolls and swags including a vase of fruit all being exceptional throughout. The quality and craftsmanship of this table is breathtakingly astounding. Even though not marked it would have most certainly been a commissioned piece of importance by a premium maker of this period.
