About the Item
George III Mahogany Bow Fronted Serving Table / Sideboard
English, circa 1800
A George III mahogany bow fronted sideboard or serving table, dating from the turn of the 19th century. Crafted in rich, well-figured mahogany, the table features satinwood stringing along the edge of the top. It includes a central drawer, two smaller drawers to the left, and a double-height drawer with a false front to the right, suitable for bottle storage or deeper serviceware.
The table is fitted with oval brass ring pull handles in the Adam style and supported by square tapered legs with spade feet, a hallmark of late Georgian furniture. Fan-carved corner brackets beneath the top add further refinement.
Offered in very good polished condition, the table retains its original patina with minor age-related marks, consistent with its history. The surface has been professionally restored, ensuring continued beauty and function.
