About the Item

This large-scale counter was originally built for a mercantile or general store, designed with multiple drawers for efficient storage and daily use. The piece is constructed from solid pine with decorative recessed paneling on the public-facing side, showcasing scalloped corner details that balance utility with a touch of ornamentation. The top has been refinished in-shop, highlighting the warm, time-worn patina of the original wood while preserving its industrial-era character. All drawers have been cleaned and restored, now featuring japanned copper cup pulls, an authentic hardware style popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With its generous size and sturdy build, this counter offers both historical presence and modern adaptability as a statement fixture in kitchens, retail spaces, or studios. Excellent condition overall, with age-appropriate wear to the wood consistent with its original commercial use. Fully restored and ready for installation. 125" W x 29" D x 32.5" H Box drawers (L side): 9.25" W x 15.5" D x 9" H Large drawers (next to box drawers): 29.25" W x 15.5" D x 9" H Remaining drawers: 12.25" W x 15.5" D x 9" H
