17th Century Dutch Trestle Table

$4,800

About

A fantastic and remarkable 17th century Dutch double-sided oak trestle table with beautifully carved ends with curved legs, and stylized floral carved spandrels. The top is well-worn with a patina that only four hundred years of use can bestow. Tables like these were intended for dining in small spaces and, in keeping with the fashion of the day, dining tables were only set up in a room when in use. This table is designed to come apart to be stored out of the way when dining is not taking place. Today, it makes the perfect side table next to a sofa, entry console table, or nightstand!
