18th Century Swedish Wood & Hand-Painted Faux Marble-Top Cream Color Side Table

About the Item

An 18th century Swedish wooden side table. This exquisite antique Swedish side table features a hand-painted faux-marble top, and scalloped apron which has been carved with a fine cross-cross and dotted pattern. This table has a pierced carving at the front center of it's skirt and is raised nicely upon cabriole legs. The flatter back-side of this table is unfinished and therefore is made to go against a wall.

An Italian wood trestle-leg table, with decorative forged-iron stretcher, from the 18th century. This antique table from Italy features a rectangular-shaped top, which is raised upon a pair of nicely-turned, trestle-styled legs (with a pair of turned wood stretchers supporting them at each side) and raised upon low-profile bun feet. The underside of the table is braced by a beautifully hand-forged iron stretcher, reminiscent of a bell or ogee arch shape, and is adorn with several disc and leafy shaped decorative pieces.
