About the Item
This is a pair of Square Side Tables in Marble and Steel, sourced from the Northwestern National Life Building in Minneapolis, designed by Minoru Yamasaki in 1965. The tables are presumably custom made for the project, designed by either Yamasaki himself, or by someone in his organization. The design sports four long, polished steel legs, and has a white marble top that sits flush with the frame's edge. There is a National Life inventory plaque that remains affixed to the frame.
Each table measures 30.25 inches deep, 30.25 inches wide, and 20 inches high. Both marble pieces have some chips along the edges, and there are several scratches on the top surfaces. There are also some scuffs on the frames. Overall, these tables are in good condition.
