About the Item
Rare and playful Aldo Tura wood and lacquered goat skin side/end table with curved tapered legs with additional foot detailing element produced in Italy in the 1960's. Table is in great vintage condition with minimal scratches.
Aldo Tura (1909-1963) was a hands-on designer who experimented greatly with traditional craftsmanship as well as hand applied craft processes and finishes out of his workshop in Milan. He is best known for his tables and lamps, which drew on shapes from the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements. His designs used rare and interesting materials such as parchment, eggshell and goatskin to be center stage.
