About the Item

This is a 1990s Kyoto Table, designed by Michael Graves for Arkitektura. It was produced in the USA by Craftwood Products. The table is constructed with cherry wood surfaces, and it has black lacquered details. The silhouette channels the zeitgeist of the postmodern period, and can function beautifully as either a dinner table or in the foyer (as a console table). The table measures 48 inches in diameter, and stands 30 inches tall. The piece has been freshly refinished. It may show some slight wear to the veneer on edges. Overall, this table is in very good condition. Please see photos.

Ltd. It was specified by Michael Graves who redesigned the Topeka Public Library in 1998. The rest of the project’s furniture for the 100,000 square foot addition specified by him as well. Fantastic vintage Modern to Postmodern maple pedestal base round coffee table with blue laminate inlaid top designed by Michael Graves for Craftwood a Division of Sonnenberg Ind. Ltd. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has all been refinished except for the cylinder pedestal. The wood base was repaired and filled prior to refinishing & there were little nicks in the laminate that were filled & colored.
