About the Item

Crafted in Paris circa 1870, this exquisite antique gueridon table combines the strength of cast iron with the warmth of solid oak. The elegant tripodal base features scrolled feet with acanthus leaf motifs supporting a finely fluted and turned column, all finished in a deep black patina with subtle silver highlights. The square top showcases intricate parquetry work in a starburst pattern, created from alternating walnut and fruitwood veneers within a mitered border. Versatile and stylish, this small Napoleon III pedestal table is ideal for a breakfast nook, sunroom, or covered terrace. Its balanced proportions and refined materials embody the charm of the French café tradition. In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with a beautifully aged walnut patina to the top.
