The cylindrical body houses a single upper drawer with a hand forged iron ring pull, and a lower cabinet with double doors secured by a classic iron latch. Original iron fittings and joinery highlights its artisanal craftsmanship. ------ A beautifully proportioned 19th-century Chinese trunk, handcrafted in solid Northern Elmwood (Yumu) during the late Qing dynasty. Once used for storing garments or documents, it has been thoughtfully repurposed as a side table, offering quiet simplicity and refined presence. Built entirely by hand using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, the piece bears subtle tool marks and soft irregularities that reveal the maker’s touch.
