19th Century Italian Carved Giltwood and Painted Side Table with Eglomise Top

About the Item

Place this elegant, antique, Italian pedestal table next to a sofa or a chair. Crafted in Italy, circa 1860, the dramatic table features a carved, urn-shaped base on circular stand. The round tabletop is a reverse painted glass top (or verre églomisé), which is decorated with traditional bird and floral motifs. The colorful, Baroque table is completed with a luxurious rubbed and patinated gilt and paint finish. Overall, the piece is in good condition commensurate with age and use, small crack on glass top (see last picture). Measures: 20" diameter 24.75" height.
