90s Borek Spirek ‘Dalibor’ Sidetable for Steltman Galleries Limited Batch

Borek Šípek is said to be the father of the “neo-baroque”. His architectural works and other designs are known worldwide. He had offices in Amsterdam, Prague and Shanghai. Under the presidency of Václav Havel, he was the architect of Prague Castle. In Maastricht he designed a glass sculpture at the entrance of the Maastricht University Library on Grote Looiersstraat. Borek Šípek passed away at 66 years. He designed about 200 furnitures specially for the Steltman Galleries. This number is kind of large for a collection but this Dalibor side table for example is nr 104 of the 2000 and is very rare and unique because it has been produced only in very limited batch.
