Antique French Sofa Side Table Writing Desk Louis XV Carved Oak Parquet Top.
Direct from France, another lovely carved French side or sofa table with classic French Louis XV style and elegance. Full parquet design on the large tabletop has beautiful tiger oak grain and a wide oak band with beveled edging.
The thick apron has delicate carvings along the lower serpentine edge, and note, it is finished and trimmed on all sides, making this an excellent table to “float” in any room, as there is no backside!
The versatile larger table size is perfectly balanced by graceful cabriole legs that feature thick hand carvings on the upper legs. Quality throughout, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1920.
Measurements: 29” ht. x 46.5” x 27”. Leg clearance, 24”.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. This item is in very good condition with normal signs of age, use, dings, scratches, imperfections. At some time, a metal band was added underneath one corner to reinforce the joint. Included photos are an integral part of the description.
