This is an antique octagonal occasional table. An English, oak rotating two-tier book shelf in the Arts & Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890. Versatile and attractive addition to the lounge or reading nook Displays a desirable aged patin and in good order Select oak shows fine grain interest and an abundance of medullary rays Deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish Fine octagonal form, accentuated to the top with a fir cone and leaf border pattern Display gallery with eight slender turned baluster rails Rotating smoothly around the central column, over a broad baluster support Standing upon a quartet of squat cabriole legs with pad feet This is a charming and appealing antique octagonal occasional table, with superb oak stocks and a versatile nature.
