This is an antique side table. A Japanese, burr elm carved lamp table or jardiniere stand, dating to the Edwardian, circa 1910.
Fascinating Arts & Crafts taste accentuates this charming side table
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Appealing burr elm presents rich caramel hues and fine grain interest
Unmarked as such, but identical to examples sold at Liberty of London in period
Square top carved in skilful relief with an attractive foliate pattern
Useful under tier further decorated with the relief carving
Standing upon a slender quartet of tall cabriole legs, with shaped toes
Each leg accentuated with foliate engravings
