Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Modernist cabinet or side table.
Design by Cor Alons and executed by Fa. Winterkamp & Van Putten.
Striking Dutch design from the 1920s.
Solid oak base with original black lacquered drawer and original black lacquered solid oak top.
In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
You can place this masterpiece of design in the centre of a room or office because the backside is also well designed!
We will ship this museum piece in a custom made wooden crate for safe transport when purchased by overseas buyers!
The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco cabinet or side table by Cor Alons is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
