About the Item
A charming antique Fin de Siècle French Art Nouveau Period marquetry inlaid side table / stand. circa 1900
Crafted in France at the turn of the late 19th / early 20th century, in the manner of the legendary artist, designer and Art Nouveau innovator Emile Gallé (Nancy, France; 1846-1904), having a circular top with elaborate floral decoration, patinated metal trim, rising on tapered supports, joined by medial shelf.

29.5" High, 15.75" Diameter
As warm and attractive as it is useful, having the ideal size and proportions for a variety of different uses, including as a side table, bedside nightstand, cocktail drinks table, lamp stand, tiered plant stand, sculpture pedestal, accent table, and more.
Condition:
Good antique condition with beautifully aged warm patina. Retaining original antique character and charm throughout, including a large dark rough spot to the tabletop (may have been caused by a candle) minor scattered nicks and worn edges, wear consistent with age and use, nothing that detracts from the display or functionality but only adds to sophisticated antique character, elegant warmth and rich historical depth that can only be acquired over long periods of time!

Handcrafted with exceptional craftsmanship, elegantly finished in the timeless and classic Louis XV taste, having a shaped top accented by gilt metal rim, breathtaking marquetry and matched inlay, over a scalloped apron embellished with finely detailed sculpted and chisled gilt bronze ormolu mounts, above the conforming shaped medial shelf, all graceful rising on excellent quality ormolu mounted cabriole legs, terminating in gilded bronze sabots.
