About the Item
This piece is the result of a sequence of manual carving exercises in pine trunks. The diameter of each piece and the variation in its shapes is determined by the height of each section of this tree. Its contours attempt to reproduce the folds and curves of a human body. The process of carving these grooves into the wood highlights the lines formed by its internal parts, such as the heartwood and knots, revealing a pattern of organic stripes. Its shape has as its main characteristics the irregularity, roughness and simplicity of natural processes.
