Charles Hollis Jones Lucite and Chrome Circular Side Table or End Table, 1970s

About the Item

A fabulous 1970s Hollywood Regency-meets-Minimalist lucite and chrome side table or end table with glass top by Charles Hollis Jones. A trio of crystal clear 1.63 in. sq. lucite columns is connected via two pair of chrome-finish concentric semi-circle stretcher elements with polished nickel acorn nut fasteners. They're positioned in a very clever and atypical asymmetrical manner that gives the piece a striking modernist sculptural look. Features its original .5 inch-thick round glass top with polished flat edge. With one exception, we’ve only ever seen this table—and other sizes and shapes in the line—done in brass, making the chrome version offered here a rare iteration of an already rather uncommon design. Dimensions listed are overall. Base is H 20.75 in. x Dia. 18 in. (not including nuts.)

Two end caps attached a bit crooked. Glass has a couple faint scratches.
