Chinese Art Deco Marble-Top Low Table

About

In the 1920s, Shanghai, China was swept up in the Art Deco design movement, permeating every part of life in the bustling, vibrant city. This stylized low table is a product of the time and exemplifies the qualities that make Art Deco so sought after: simple lines, striking colors, and bold geometric shapes. Constructed of hand-carved rosewood, the stepped legs of this petite table support a circular panel of swirling black-and-white marble, held together by traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. Additional dimensions: Surface diameter 14".
