About the Item

Danish high baroque style coffee table of solid oak with drawer. Handcrafted by a Danish cabinetmaker in the 1850s, with hand-turned bobbing legs and connecting bar between the two set of legs. The past many years have added a beautiful patina, the tabletop with a lighter color than the frame because of soap wash. The fine natural surface and patina with a warm glow has slowly been added after years of daily use. There may be some small stains or scratches which are basically only part of the furniture's history.
