About the Item

This finely detailed table made to emulate furniture from the 17th century was a product designed to bolster pride and place in the antique traditions of the past. Made from Walnut which has been stained to simulate more exotic woods the overall color is a reddish-brown and an ebony color making the different turned sections and applied forms stand out more and making a very decorative yet very old looking piece of furniture that would have looked correct in the old world settings designed by the leading members of societies of the day. The table has a large single drawer and can be used as a sofa or side table as well as a display table along a wall. The color is rich and strong as is the finish which is polished and waxed to a deep rich lustrous shine. The form and piece would work well in old-world interiors with tapestries or majolica etc but would also fit well in interiors where a simple country form was desired. The piece has some wear and aged areas and rub thus however all of these help to make the piece appear more like the older form and lend themselves well to the form and style of the furniture.
