Early 19th Century Biedermeier Side Table, 1820-1825, South Germany Cherry wood ,,The Biedermeier period was an era in Central Europe between 1815 and 1848 during which the middle classes grew in number and the arts began to appeal to their sensibilities. The period began with the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815 and ended with the onset of the Revolutions of 1848.'' Early Biedermeier Side Table with its simple shapes, which are typical of southern Germany- the slightly curved legs and the black vein. One functional drawer with compartments. Harmonious grain pattern. Elegant, aesthetic and at the same time free from excessive decorativeness or monumentality. Condition: Condition of this Side Table is very good. This furniture has beed restored and hand polished with shellack. Ready to use and enjoy.
