Early 20th Century French Louis Philippe Marble Top Mahogany Kidney Side Table
About the Item
This elegant kidney shape side table was crafted in France circa 1920. Built of mahogany wood, the petite table stands on slim turned legs ending with tapered feet, decorated with a bottom shelf. The shaped surface is dressed with an inset variegated beige and grey marble top and embellished with a pierced brass gallery. The table has a single drawer across the front dressed with a brass pull. The small table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, the antique table could be used as a bedside table, an occasional table next to an armchair, or as a small display cabinet in a powder room.
