About the Item

Charming hexagonal side table in solid oak, raised on three bobbin-turned (spool-turned) legs joined by a triangular stretcher that meets in a turned finial hub. The top shows a hand-carved beaded/gadrooned border and a warm, original patina with gentle wear from age. A characterful occasional table that sits well between Arts & Crafts and late-Victorian taste—perfect beside a lounge chair or as a decorative accent. Maker / Attribution Attributed to Nederlandsche Meubelfabriek “De Ster,” Geldermalsen (Netherlands), c. 1920–1930. Markings Remnants of an old paper label to the underside with the readable fragment “...Geldermalsen...,” consistent with labels used by De Ster in the early–mid 20th century. Attribution rationale The hexagonal oak top with beaded edge, the bobbin-turned tripod base with central finial, and overall construction quality align with early De Ster production from Geldermalsen. While the surviving label fragment does not show the full factory name, the location reference supports this attribution. bobbin leg table, spool-turned table, hexagonal side table, beaded edge, gadrooned edge, oak occasional table, tripod table, Arts & Crafts, late Victorian, European rustic, antique side table, patinated oak, accent table
