About the Item

A splendid George III supper table with a circular tilting top upon a fruitwood block. Beneath the table is a charming brass switch clasp that locks the table top into place once lowered. The turned column incorporates unusual pieces of mahogany in the craftmanship with excellent colour and grain throughout. The table is raised on cabriole legs and sturdy pad feet presented in superb country house condition. English, circa 1800.
