English Sewing Table with One Drawer and One Basket
About the Item
Sewing table with one drawer and one basket. With a light structure and straight lines, top with slightly curved sides and marquetry. The top drawer has internal dividers for organising small sewing objects and circular metal handles, while the bottom drawer is deep enough to store fabrics and work. With a curved front that follows the contour of the top, the legs are thin, straight, with vertical recesses, joined by side braces to give the structure stability.
The furniture is influenced by the Hepplewhite or English neoclassical style, characterised by its restrained elegance and fine joinery and its construction by gluing, with no visible metal elements in the structure.
Ideal for use as a functional and decorative piece in domestic environments, ateliers or manual workspaces, it stands out for its combination of practicality, visual lightness and detailed finish.
